SPONSORS

Our sponsors are very important to us. Not only do they serve as a valuable resource to the telemark skiers attending our festivals but their products are given as prizes for our events. Their financial support also helps pay for our advertising, pay our instructors and staff and keep the festivals running. We whole heartily support and thank them and hope that you will too. For other telemark related links go to our links page.

Our Gold Sponsor this season is none other than one of the finest tele boot companies in the business... Garmont! Come check out their demo boots at the NET telefests.

garmont

The Garmont factory has manufactured footwear for over 140 years. Garmont is at the height of innovation for footwear and ski boots and produces the only ski boots with triple-injection technology. Garmont trail footwear features Garmont anatomically directed design and spine system technology which adds stability to footwear at less weight. Garmont North America distributes outdoor products to outdoor retailers and ski shops throughout the United States and Canada. Garmont is also the North American contact for the releasable 7TM telemark bindings, Bridgedale socks, Icebug shoes and Life-Link poles, probes and shovels.

On board this season as a Silver Sponsor is our favorite all time telemark read, Backcountry Magazine. We always look forward to the early Gear Guide (and have been pleased that our very own member Mickey Stone has been one of the ski testers the past few years), the ever interesting Biff America (no relation to NET's Biff) and the countless articles and pictures in every edition throughout the season. This season Backcountry will have representatives at most of the NET festivals and will be giving away a three issue subscription to every festival participant. Now THAT is a great deal! Thank you Jon and the rest of the gang at BC mag!!

We welcome a new sponsor and a great on-line store, Backcountry.com. Here is what spokeperson Adam Buchanan has to say;

We use the gear we sell. We make bets on when snow will come. Were the dawn patrol and itching for a run after work. We believe the outdoors can be rough so we sell the best quality gear for you to succeed in the backcountry.

Here is another great online store! Looking for something you tried at a NET festival and want the best price around. Check out telemarkski.com!

The Outdoor Gear Exchange is locally owned in Burlington, Vermont and online everywhere at www.gearx.com. They are diehard tele skiers with a staff of 30 that logged over 1200 days on the slopes and in the backcountry last year. Buyers Grizz and Mike are always searching out the best deals on gear for you while Master boot fitters, Brian and Jacob can get your feet to smile by thermofitting your liners, making custom insoles or modifying your boots. Check us out, we have fun and want you to also!

Rossignol has been involved in telemark skiing since the early 80's and one would think they might just have gotten it right in all that time. One would be correct! Check out the Sickbird, Powderbird or Dirtybird to see how right they got it.

Welcome to Flylow, manufacturers of freeride apparel and ambassadors for the soul of skiing. Our Philosophy has always been to design clothing that is comfortable, durable, fashionable and budget friendly.  When Flylow was established three years ago we saw a gap in the industry. As telemark skiers we spent as much time in the backcountry as in the resort and all the people we rode with, including ourselves, were wearing mountaineering gear. These clothes were designed for light and fast travel in the mountains and did not stand up to the rigors of riding in demanding terrain.
Simply put, our clothing is designed for the out all day, skinning, boot-packing, lift-riding, ripping, I use my gear, modern skier."

The Flylow gang will be flying in for the Vermont Telemark festival! Come meet them and see the new gear.

Wilderwoman tee shirts.... for the wild woman in everyone! Look for a special wildwoman tele shirt next season.

Hey...what's a telemark festival without beer. We offer a big welcome to our newest beer sponsor, Peak Organic Brewing Company. Check them out at the Vermont Telemark Fest at Jay and hopefully more fests to come!

" We created Peak Organic beers to be a toast to life’s peak experiences.  Whether it’s a spectacular afternoon in the outdoors, a good time with friends and family, or a great day on the job, we hope you have the opportunity to celebrate the peak experiences of your life."

.

For some of the best deals on boots and skis around you have to check out telemarkdown.com! The Fey brothers have been long time supporters of New England Telemark. The brothers will w do a 15% off for all NET-ers off '08 gear(excluding pkgs/closeouts). THAT'S a real deal!

TwentyTwo Designs is proud to continue the Rainey Designs Tradition of NET sponsorship and innovative telemark binding design. TwentyTwo Designs is dedicated to taking the Hammerhead (endorsed by many of our NET instructors!) to the next level. With its 5 adjustable pivot points you can adjust the level of 'active flex' from extreme (for unprecedented control), to nil (for efficient climbing). The new HammerHeel design by TwentyTwo Designs has been critically acclaimed by both users and the media for its simplicity, functionality, and ease of use. New for this season the HammerHead will include a redesigned tail throw that is optimized for all the latest telemark boots and will also be a part of an integrated leash system. The practically indestructible toe bar is redesigned to make mounting the binding much simpler and to ensure that the adjustable cable guides will always slide smooth.

atomic

Look for the Atomic TR 86 at a festival raffle near you!

Voile has been in the telemark business a very long time. NET director Biff still fondly remembers his Voile plates from the early 80's and his first pair of real fatties, the Mountain Surf from the 90's. You can figure that if Voile has been making tele gear that long they must know what they are doing.

Come demo the Voile Insane at the NET tele fests!! The Insane is an amazing powder ski.

There will be a fleet of BD skis including the Stigma at all of the NET events! Look for their skis and the BD rep, skier extraordinair Tyler Merrit at all of our festivals.

LOCAL TELE SHOPS SPONSORING NET

Our local tele shops are tremendous supporters of all of our festivals. If you are up around Sunday River drop in and see Rick at Mahoosuc Mountain Sports (check out his on line shop as well). Up by Jay or Stowe? Firsttrax, Climbhigh and the Skirack. Heading up to Sugarloaf? Check out Aardvark and Bath cycle and Ski.

Bath Cycle and Ski is your source for telemark gear in the midcoast area of Maine. Davis runs the shop and knows his stuff! Bathe Cycle and Ski are also sponsors of the NET Telemark Film Fest near by in Brunswick Maine.

"We ski, we ride, we skate. That's what we're about. If you are looking for a little expertise and guidance, we'll take all the time you need to make sure you are slidin' fast and happy. If you're ever in coastal Maine, stop by and say hi. We're located on US Route 1 in Woolwich, Maine. Look for the Dalmation-spotted Sugarloaf gondola out front! "

If you are heading up to the Sugarloaf area the local shop of choice is Aardvark. They have the know how and the gear to set you up right. Aardvark is one of the sponsors of the NET Telemark Film Fest.
